Ze Nxumalo

Ze embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in 2014, initially as the National Head of Sponsorship for the “Progressive Youth in Business” forum. Partnering with Blue Label Telecoms in 2017, he facilitated product placements in the taxi industry. As an independent advisor to Transaction Capital and SA Taxi in 2018, he successfully negotiated one of the largest transactions in the industry’s history. Alongside, Ze has diversified his interests, investing in Media, Mining, Revenue enhancement, Debt recovery, Advertising, and ICT sectors

Enzo Lazzari

Enzo, a seasoned professional with a successful tenure at Standard Bank, boasts expertise in accounting, finance, real estate, start-ups, and mezzanine finance. His strategic acumen, meticulousness, and track record of delivering results distinguish him. A collaborative communicator, Enzo excels in team settings, cultivating strong relationships with peers and clients. His dedication to excellence and staying abreast of industry trends positions him as a valuable asset, primed to drive impactful outcomes across all facets of business.

Kamlan Moodley

Kamlan, now the COO at Zig Capital since 2021, previously served Zig Holdings. His responsibilities encompass overseeing daily operations across the Zig Group of companies and managing TC Kwande debt collections. Throughout his career, Kamlan has held diverse roles, including leading the Credit Health e-commerce business, where he tripled profits within 24 months. He also contributed to the Transaction Capital group, where he played a key role in acquiring mandates from banks, retailers, and related parties, totalling over R3 billion in assets. Kamlan brings public sector experience from the National Development Agency and the South African Revenue Services, where he received multiple Commissioner awards. Holding an MBA from Henley Business School, affiliated with the University of Reading, Kamlan brings a wealth of experience to his current role.

Joseph Tarry

Joseph is an analyst and portfolio manager who brings a unique blend of technical expertise and financial acumen to the table. With a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pretoria and two years of hands-on experience in the electrical engineering field as a project engineer, he has honed his skills in problem-solving and developed a keen eye for numbers. Joseph’s background equips him with the ability to analyse complex data, identify profitable investment opportunities, and effectively manage diverse portfolios. Joseph is passionate about leveraging his technical and financial expertise to drive growth and deliver exceptional results for our partners.

Sanele Cebekhulu

Sanele Luthando Cebekhulu is a results-driven Group Accountant at Zig Capital, responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving strategic financial planning across the organization. 

As a Professional Accountant (SA) and Tax Practitioner (SA), Sanele brings a wealth of expertise in financial reporting, taxation, and business advisory, delivering insights that support sustainable growth and operational efficiency.

 With a proven track record of providing financial leadership across diverse sectors, Sanele specializes in financial reporting, tax compliance, and strategic financial decision-making. Currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration at the University of the Western Cape, Sanele remains committed to continuous professional development, ensuring that businesses are equipped with the financial strategies needed to thrive in an evolving economic landscape.

Matthew Bernath

Matthew Bernath leads Zig Data Platform, an integrated data ecosystem built to unlock value across strategy, operations, and data monetisation. Zig Data Platform comprises of three interconnected arms – Alternata, Zig Data Solutions, and Zig Data Monetisation. Zig Data Platform enables businesses to run, scale, and monetise their data functions. Matthew is a CFA® Charterholder with a background in investment banking, data analytics, and data commercialisation. He previously founded the Shoprite Data Ecosystems team to enable data collaboration and monetise Shoprite’s data to benefit its customers. Before joining Shoprite, Matthew led the data analytics capability of Rand Merchant Bank, one of Africa’s largest investment banks. His focus in both roles was building secure data ecosystems and cross-sector data collaborations across banking, health, FMCG, and retail media. Recognised globally as a leader in data strategy, Matthew has been named one of the “60 Data Changemakers to Know” and hosts the Financial Modelling Podcast, a top-ranked global resource in financial modelling. At Zig Capital, he ensures that data is powering investment performance, digital transformation, and monetizable innovation.
